
Sonic Freerun
First Unreal Project
One of the projects for our game programming module was to make an endless runner game using Unreal Engine. So what better character to use for a running game? I used my favourite character, Sonic The Hedgehog, again for this school project / fan-game.
The player just needs to move left and right and jump on balloons to cross gaps. Collecting rings also allow the player to quick step left and right as the game speeds up over time.
I found this project fun to make as I also animated the animations I used for Sonic using a rigged model found online and with the help of 3DS Max.
Sonic The Hedgehog is owned by SEGA and is in no way created or owned by me. All the rights go to SEGA for this character as I am only using the character for this fan-game
